What are the best sections to watch a match at a QPR home match?

Is there anywhere not to go due to limited view from a pole or something?

Where is the best atmosphere?

I am just curious for future trips to London.

The poles were a problem

....but much less numerous now due to the poor economy.

If I was you, I'd buy your ticket in the C block of the South Africa Road. Ask for tickets near the Jesus impersonator or loud bloke.

Don't sit in the 'lower anything', views are crap.

And, I bet your tall. That will be a problem, most taller older R's have replacement knees.

I am 5'8" so I am not exactly professional basketball player material. :)

In the outline of the stadium on the website, it says family area in the Loftus Road End, is that just one section behind there?

I do agree about the upper and lower deck views as I was just checking out the view from various available seats and it does appear a nice view in the upper level.

Thanks for putting up with the questions!

You want atmosphere Az? R Block's the place, plus you get to enjoy the company of some of QPR's finest fans: R Block Ells, Deepsea Hoop, Rangerbird, Captain Jack, Dan H, etc. The view isn't the best, but it's hard to get a great view AND great atmosphere at Loftus Road, unless, of course, everyone's in a good mood and the whole place is buzzin'.. which may be happening again after last season's dismal atmosphere.

The trouble with SA is that no one sings really, you get the odd chant, the hurled insult, the random witticism (all that from some Jon Parkin lookalike in row Q)..

The 'family' area in the Loft is a bit of a joke.. why did they make the lower Loft a family area.. I thought the middle of Ellerslie was a much better place. The Loft should be about hardcore fans.. but then of course the Loft has always been a bit of a let down in that department... well, for the last 10 years at least...

Sit in R block son, you won't regret it.. :)

..buying tickets in R block means running the risk of someone who can't wait any longer, pissing on your leg. If you didn't abstain from alcohol before the kick off, you will while the game is on and of course....the seat bit is optional. All the aforementioned tend to stand up limiting the view of anyone who is 5' 8", ( I know ).

Well, I shall see for myself as I am in row C of section MU of the upper Loftus Road end for the match with Doncaster on Sept. 25. :)

I see there is also a tattoo convention on the east side that weekend.  http://www.thelondontattooconvention.com

...I've, just typed in the name George Bone..and f. me he's still in business.  The bloke has to be 83 by now !  Anyway, stuck his mark on me a few times and pierced me left tit, back in '78, long before it became de rigueur for the man about town. Anyone else use the Hanwell Hero, did a few Rangers tags in his day ?

That is cool. Hopefully, he

George Bone, but he was definitely 'the man' when it came to tattoos back in the day.. also amazed he's still going. Mind you, possibly the worst tattooist in town, Marc Saint, is STILL ruining the art form down the Bella..

there will be artists young

there will be artists young and old at a big tattoo convention during the weekend that I am there----- http://www.thelondontattooconvention.com  If I can figure out which tube line to use to get to the nearest stop to where it is taking place, I might go check it out as I haven't been to a convention overseas yet.

Middle of nowhere...

Either Shadwell DLR station, or they've laid on a bus from Tower Hill underground station.

R Block, low seat number, somewhere near the middle. You get to listen to the poet that is Deepseahoop eloquently critiquing the opposition in his own unique style..
