...will finally hate Roy Hodgson?

Hodgson confirmed as England manager..

29 April, 2012 - 23:01

..don't see it as a 'shock appointment' as media are claiming, think he's ideal candidate.. however, as you say Joe, this ain't good news for us, assuming it affects WBA players negatively.. maybe it will be positive.. who knows?

Woy is the cheap option

Woy is the cheap option without doubt.

Not sure how the players at WBA could take having no manager as a postive Hud, he seems to be a person that demands effort and desire so if he goes im not sure the kit man who will be in charge for that game having the same effect.

Personally I think we are fucked, Bolton will get at least a draw against spurs I reckon and surley must be able to turn over a WBA side with nothing to play for and with no manager at home.

Praying i'm wrong.

You are wrong.

At this point in the season, WBA's players will be playing for their jobs.  As ours should be.

Yes in a ideal world they

Yes in a ideal world they should go out with the desire to win each game and play at 100% but as is well known in football sometimes these players with nothing to play for are  thinking about their holidays in St Lucia.

This “turning off " at the end of the season always happens and maybe even more so with no permanent manager in place.

Did our players play for their jobs yesterday as well??

I still say that Hill and Mackie, gave it their all

Most of the others tried their best but were simply outclassed.  And I don't think Ferdinand is very good.  Not his fault.

Ferdinand is not very good

Hill looked liked a pub

Hill looked liked a pub player and for the first time for me, Kenny looks like a player who dont want to be here.

Next stop Elland Road I reckon.

Hill didn't hide

He might not be the most cultured or whatever but he gives it his all.  Sure, they should all be doing that but many appear not to.  I bow to the fact that I've not seen as many games as lots on here but Ferdinand just seems anonymous to me,  Perhaps he was just overawed by Sunday or all upset by seeing the nasty man again.  Dunno. But even Karl Ready didn't go missing that much.

I don't agree..

30 April, 2012 - 22:21

..I think Ferdinand has been one of most consistent players this season and very solid in defence.

Derry

I thought Derry was our best player in red and white Battenberg yesterday.

Takes me back. Didn't like their later albums - everything after hypnotised ('H-Y-P I'm hypnotised...') was a bit weak. The re-issued CDs have got tons of extra material which is brilliant. Nerdity over.

more like, old Irish for "Oak wood of Calgach". When performing in the city Dara O Briain opens with the joke, "Hello my name is Dara or, if you prefer you can call me Londondara" Can you imagine some invader coming into Shepherds Bush and saying "Sorry lads and lassies the new name for the Bush is.. Chelsea Bush, God forbid. Sorry about that, old mutton head.

Well, invaders renaming towns or areas is

pretty much par for the course. What do the residents of Port Lairge think of some scruffy long haired boat people calling them Waterford, or Normans preferring to call Grantbridge, Cambridge or Dunholm, Durham? Still, it's not all controversial, I'm reasonably confident that the inhabitants of Nottingham are more than happy to no longer be known as the 'settlement of snot'.

I find this line somewhat disingenuous: "tourists cannot move past the similarity of the village name from the swear word"

Similarity?? It's Ifuggingdentical, for fuggs sake.
