Paying the likes of Barton Zamora SWP in the regions of 60/80k a week on gates of 18K thousand has “Portsmouth FC” written all over it.
If you want to dance, you have to pay the band, I just can’t see how we can pay for the instrument not alone the musicians.
..we get relegated.
That's right. Just look at the overall situation: we finally have a really tasty squad, forming around an ambitious, young, talented manager, with an enthusiastic, genuine football-loving chairman and bags of money..
So, going down won't be so bad: we'll storm the Championship, have a laugh, have another promotion day to celebrate, and come back much, much better prepared than we were this time. What's so bad about that?
